On the Weekend’s Writing

Someone visited my website today, using a Google search on the phrase “What if your doctor tells you your brain is mush?”

Sadly, I am not a doctor, and I can’t tell you what will happen if your brain is, in fact, mush. I can’t imagine it’s anything good, if you do have a mushy brain.

I can tell you, however, that my brain feels like mush.

It was fucking hot today.

I wrote 2,500 words of “THOD” — a morning session of about 900 words, and an evening session of 1,600.

Which puts me at 4,314 words since Friday evening.

4314 / 75000
5.75%

I don’t know that it will be 75k when it’s all said and done. It could be longer. We shall see.

It’s only 9:30. I could write into the night. But I’m hot, my brain feels mushified, and I’ve reached a natural stopping point in the writing for the night.

I’m happy with what I have thus far. Okay, some of it’s a little thin, and parts are dialogue heavy. I’ll come back to that.

Where I’m going next? A fourteen year-old’s visit to Scotland. Which is bound to be completely inaccurate, because that’s someplace I’ve never, ever been. 😆
