On My Ever-Twisted Soul

My sister called me, concerned. She and her husband had decided that when my niece is christened, they want my brother to be the godfather. Her concern? Was I offended by this?

That would be… no.

Look, I’m a godless heathen. Like they would want me to take a role in the religious education of the niece to whom I just gave a Care Cthulhu. 🙂

Then my sister had to tell me that Jon and Kate Plus Eight is having a very special episode tonight where they’re making a big announcement.

Considering I hadn’t even heard of these people until a month ago, I don’t really care what their big announcement is on their very special episode. Unless it involves someone dealing with a drug addiction, being arrested for shoplifting, losing their virginity, losing their job, or coping with the death of a friend due to accident or suicide — all staples of “Very Special Episodes” down the decades — I can’t bring myself to really care.
