On Lucky ‘Net Finds

It’s awesome the things you can find on the ‘net.

I’ve found a recording of Elbow’s show in DC on Tuesday night.

And it sounds fantastic. It was recorded from the balcony, about twenty feet behind and fifteen feet up from where I was.

The only quibble I have thus far is that “Mirrorball” cuts out early. My download of “Mirrorball” fucked up, but now I have it complete.

But most of the chatter, like Guy Garvey mentioning Obama’s birthday before he launches into “Leaders of the Free World,” is intact. And you can hear the audience shouting out requests to the band.

I am super happy about having this. 🙂
