Gone for a Walk

It was a pretty day. A little on the brisk side — there was a chance for snow flurries! — but brisk doesn’t bother me. It’s March. It’s supposed to be brisk.

I felt like going out, then I didn’t have anything I wanted to do, so I ended up going to Mt. Rose Cemetery to have a walk around. I hadn’t been since… let me think… hold on… November. Yes, yes, November. I went on Thanksgiving Day. It was surprisingly warm that day.

Today, despite the briskness, I didn’t really dress any warmer — t-shirt, shorts, hoodie. It was fine.

The hill looks so gentle, the mausoleum looks so far away. No, the hill is a brutally steep climb, and that mausoleum is, like an object in a mirror, closer than it appears.

I had a good walk around and got a nice little workout.

I do believe that was snow falling in the distance…
