On More Age of Empires

A few months ago when I purchased the Collector’s Edition of Age of Empires III I felt I’d achieved some sort of geek nirvana, simply from leafing through the game’s art book. The time I’ve spent playing the game since its fall release has, at least to my mind, justified the cost of the Collector’s Edition. 😉

Today, I picked up the game I’d been awaiting on the Nintendo DS–Age of Empires: The Age of Kings, loosely based on the six year-old computer game. When I popped the wafer in the system, booted it, and the first thing I heard was the familiar theme music, I felt I’d achieved another level of geek nirvana. 🙂

Now, I just have to learn how to play a turn-based Age of Empires. Oh, to have my problems. 😉
