I have twenty-seven hours of the Beatles on my computer’s hard drive.<\/p>\n
Twenty-seven hours<\/i>. That’s more than a day! A day of Beatles! And then some!<\/p>\n
The thirteen albums they released between Please Please Me<\/i> and Let It Be<\/i>, plus the assorted singles, only total twelve hours.<\/p>\n
The albums of the past decade, from Live at the BBC<\/i> through LOVE<\/i> adds, what? Another eleven hours?<\/p>\n
Then there’s the bootlegs.<\/p>\n
And I haven’t added all of those<\/i>. Nor am I counting The Grey Album<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Nor have I added the Capitol Albums<\/i> collections. That’d just be redundant.<\/p>\n
Nor am I counting solo work. Because the only solo Beatles I have on the HD at the moment is George’s All Things Must Pass<\/i> and the John compilation released by Starbucks six months back.<\/p>\n
So what do<\/i> I have in those twenty-seven hours?<\/p>\n
Suffice it to say, I have eleven different versions of the song “Get Back” on the HD at the moment. Seven versions of “Let It Be.” Six of “Strawberry Fields.” Four of “Hey Jude.” Five “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (six if you count “Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand”).<\/p>\n

How much of the Beatles does a person need<\/i>?<\/p>\n
Obviously, never<\/i> too much. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
I come by it naturally. George Harrison’s “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” was the number one song on the charts the day I was born. A good message, that. Give me love, give me peace of Earth.<\/p>\n
Twenty-seven hours. Twenty-seven hours<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n
