Three years and two series have been building toward this. You can tell. It started last week, as the threads pulled closer. This week? All bets are off.<\/p>\n
The sound of drums? It’s the sound of the tension being ratcheted up.<\/p>\n

There’s one thing that lets the episode down, and that’s the feeling that this cribs a lot<\/i> from Lawrence Miles’ Benny novel Dead Romance<\/i>. (Though calling it a “Benny novel” is a misnomer–Benny’s name-checked, but that’s it.) But y’know? That’s a minor thing.<\/p>\n
