I gave money to a political campaign.<\/p>\n
Now, I have given money to foundations and such. But never a campaign. And I get fundraising letters. All the time<\/i>. Letters from Hillary Clinton. Letters from Barack Obama. Letters from Howard Dean. Letters from Al Franken.<\/p>\n
I gave money to the John Edwards campaign<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n It was the last day of the quarter. They were making a final push for contributions for the reporting period.<\/p>\n So, I made a donation. I put my money where my mouth is.<\/p>\n See, I’ve said all along that Edwards is the<\/i> choice the Democrats should rally behind. Because he represents a competely different ethos than anyone else in the race. When Edwards talks about the two Americas, the growing income inequalities, the need for health care coverage, and the like, I get the feeling that he means<\/i> it, and he wants to do something to make a difference<\/i>.<\/p>\n With Hillary Clinton, I feel like she’s in the race because she feels it’s her turn. With Barack Obama, I have no<\/i> idea why he’s in the race. I don’t even know what his message is<\/i>.<\/p>\n But John Edwards? I know his message. I like his message. It’s the right<\/i> message.<\/p>\n I put my money where my mouth is.
