The headline says it all: “To save America, we need another 9\/11<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

I’m not sure what there is to say about Stu Bykofsky and said piece. I’ll let Stu speak for himself:<\/p>\n

Remember the community of outrage and national resolve? America had not been so united since the first Day of Infamy – 12\/7\/41. <\/p>\n

We knew who the enemy was then. <\/p>\n

We knew who the enemy was shortly after 9\/11.<\/p>\n

Because we have mislaid 9\/11, we have endless sideshow squabbles about whether the surge is working, if we are “safer” now, whether the FBI should listen in on foreign phone calls, whether cops should detain odd-acting “flying imams,” whether those plotting alleged attacks on Fort Dix or Kennedy airport are serious threats or amateur bumblers. We bicker over the trees while the forest is ablaze. <\/p>\n

America’s fabric is pulling apart like a cheap sweater.<\/p>\n

What would sew us back together?<\/p>\n

Another 9\/11 attack.<\/p>\n

The Golden Gate Bridge. Mount Rushmore. Chicago’s Wrigley Field. The Philadelphia subway system. The U.S. is a target-rich environment for al Qaeda.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Words fail me.<\/p>\n

He wants another terror attack on American soil so our nation will have something to rally around? He wants death because the political process sickens him?<\/p>\n

Stu is one sick bastard. I’ll say that.<\/p>\n

Stu also fails to realize that the things he’s complaining about — the American distaste for the Iraq adventure — exist because<\/i> the President and his lackeys conflated 9\/11 with Iraq. The only thing 9\/11 and Iraq have in common is that both involved Arabs.<\/p>\n

So, yes, the country is complaining about Iraq and our never-ending involvement there. Because we shouldn’t be<\/i> there. Iraq had no involvement in 9\/11. Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.<\/p>\n

Separate the War on Terror from the never-ending War in Iraq, explain<\/i> the difference between the two, and people are in support of the former but not the latter. There’s reason for the former. There’s no reason for the latter.<\/p>\n

Stu doesn’t get that.<\/p>\n

Because Stu has bought into The Lie. That the two are connected.<\/p>\n

The connection is that Bush says<\/i> they’re connected. Except for when he or his minions say they’re not, that they’ve never said they’re connected, and how could anyone foolishly believe that they would suggest such a thing.<\/p>\n

Stu doesn’t get that.<\/p>\n

Osama bin Laden, Stu. That’s<\/i> the enemy. Ask any American on the street, and they know that.<\/p>\n

Try it, Stu.<\/p>\n

Wishing death and destruction on innocents so that The Lie can be promulgated? That’s appalling, Stu.<\/p>\n
