Yesterday evening, on my way out the door to go to an inventory in Smithfield, a bee stung me in the knee. I couldn't get the stinger out, though I could feel it, and as I was already running late — I meant to be there at 7:30, but didn't get out the door until 7, and it's an almost hour drive from Raleigh to Smithfield — I didn't fuss with the stinger, though my keychain, the way it dangled from the ignition, kept rubbing against my knee and the stinger.<\/p>\n
Not more than two hours later my sinuses were a nightmare of mucus. Stuffy, difficult to breathe, and more than a little runny.<\/p>\n
I haven't blown my nose this much since, oh, February.<\/p>\n
Maybe it's just a coincidence, the bee sting and the mucusey nose. Maybe it's not.<\/p>\n
