Yoo was interviewed by NPR yesterday on the Congressional bill that strips enemy combatants of habeus corpus<\/i> rights and other legal protections. Yoo's justification for the move? Economic realities. Habeus corpus<\/i> has a cost, he said. Money. Time. Secrecy. Congress is just trying to save money, speed the process along, protect the secrets the government needs to function.<\/p>\n
