Take, for example, the movie I’m Not There<\/i>. It’s the Bob Dylan biopic starring Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, and Richard Gere — all<\/i> of them as Bob Dylan.<\/p>\n
There’s a review for it in yesterday’s Baltimore Sun<\/i>. The reviewer didn’t care for the film. Rated it a “C.”<\/p>\n

Across the Universe<\/i> was the same way. It took weeks<\/i> for that film to play anywhere<\/i> nearby.<\/p>\n
I can’t say that I need<\/i> to see I’m Not There<\/i> like I needed to see Across the Universe<\/i>. That film I needed to see the way I need oxygen. Truthfully, while I like<\/i> Bob Dylan, I don’t really get excited<\/i> about Bob Dylan. Though I did enjoy Dylan’s take on Dr. Seuss, even if Geisel’s humorless estate didn’t<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Yet, I’m curious about a film that can cast such disparate actors as a single mercurial personality. The audacity, the artistry — these things have me fantastically curious.<\/p>\n
