You’re seeing your post-season hopes go down the drain. “The pitcher has enough work to do,” you said. Translation: pitchers shouldn’t be running the bases.<\/p>\n I really only have one thing to say.<\/p>\n Fuck you, sir.<\/p>\n Injuries running the bases happen in baseball. It’s a fact of life. By your argument — that pitchers already have enough to do — the pitcher’s only good to stand on the mound and throw. Would you not want pitchers to field their position? Would you not want pitchers to cover first base?<\/p>\n Injuries happen.<\/p>\n If you don’t want to play by National League rules, then don’t play National League games.
