I swear, sometimes it feels like the world has gone zombie-crazy. Everybody’s talking zombies. Zombies this, zombies that. Zombies, zombies, zombies.<\/p>\n
I don’t get it.<\/p>\n
Why, just today, I pounded my desk at work, lest I shout at the top of my lungs, “Stop with the fucking zombies, already!”<\/p>\n
Hell, somebody’s going to stage a zombie Hamlet<\/i>. Just you watch. There’s already a vampire “version” – just look at Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n Then I read about this.<\/p>\n Pride and Prejudice and Zombies<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n Yes, Jane Austen meets Zombies. Which is doubly offensive to my sense of good taste.<\/p>\n Firstly, it seems like everytime I’m in the bookstore I see someone’s brand spanking new sequel to Pride and Prejudice<\/i>. Writers, just leave Jane Austen be.<\/p>\n And secondly, it’s fucking zombies!<\/p>\n I give the author points, however, for a book that can be this: “What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers \u0097 and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead.”<\/p>\n I don’t even want<\/i> to know.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the fucking deal with zombies?
