It looks like Travelers Tales, the development studio behind such hits as LEGO Star Wars<\/i>, is looking to develop more LEGO video games.<\/p>\n
Like LEGO Harry Potter<\/i>. And LEGO Indiana Jones II<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n Oh, and they’ve put together a tech demo for LEGO Hobbit<\/i>.<\/p>\n LEGO Hobbit!<\/i><\/p>\n I’m crying here, I’m so happy.<\/p>\n I don’t know if it will happen, LEGO Hobbit<\/i>. I want it to happen, obviously.<\/p>\n Lord of the Rings<\/i> video game rights have reverted to Warners<\/a>; Lord of the Rings: Conquest<\/i> was the last gasp for EA, which is sad.<\/p>\n I thought EA did a good job with The Two Towers<\/i> and Return of the King<\/i>. The Third Age<\/i><\/a>, as much as I’ve ragged on it, I’ve played through a few times<\/a>. Battle for Middle Earth<\/i> is a decent RTS. I wish The White Council<\/i><\/a> could have happened.<\/p>\n What does this have to do with LEGO Hobbit<\/i>, though? If Travelers Tales is working with Warners on LEGO Harry Potter<\/i>, maybe that will establish the working relationship to give us LEGO Hobbit<\/i> — and perhaps even LEGO versions of the three Lord of the Rings<\/i> films.<\/p>\n Oh, that would be geek nirvana!<\/p>\n This LEGO fan is happy today. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Let’s be upfront, here.
