Oh, I have not a clue what it means.  I love the <i>sound<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Ian McDonald slams the song in <i>Revolution in the Head<\/i>, his lengthy analysis of the Beatles and their songs.  The connection is that &#8220;Whiter Shade&#8221; was influential during the summer of &#8217;67, and a lot of the Beatles&#8217; music was written and performed in reaction to what competing groups at the time were doing.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I&#8217;ll go home tonight and give &#8220;Whiter Shade&#8221; a listen. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who would have thought this?
