In the next day or two, I’ll put up a complete breakdown of August’s webstats for allyngibson.com<\/a>, but in the interim, I thought I’d point out a couple of interesting things I’ve seen come through from Google in the past week or two of search phrases people are using.<\/p>\n

alan moore star trek<\/b>. I don’t know what Alan Moore thinks of Star Trek<\/i>, and I have to admit that I’m incredibly fascinated by what Alan Moore might do<\/i> with Star Trek<\/i>. Chances are, it would be something that would make Roddenberry roll in his grave and the skin of some of his acolytes crawl. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

edgar allyn poe<\/b>. It’s a misspelling, but I like it! :party:<\/p>\n

teaching faust<\/b>. Long ago, I blogged about a school teacher who taught Faust<\/i><\/a>, with puppets, to some elementary school students. Interesting idea, but it didn’t fly in Colorado.<\/p>\n

difference between palatino and book antiqua<\/b>. A font question! Book Antiqua is Microsoft’s near-copy of Palatino Linotype. I prefer Palatino, and I’ve used both enough that I can spot the differences in most cases. The S is wider in Book Antiqua, and the descenders on K and R aren’t as well formed. To me, Palatino text is beautiful to look at.<\/p>\n

pooh and friends allyn<\/b>. I really don’t know what this means, except that I do like Pooh bear. I haven’t seen the new series My Friends Tigger and Pooh<\/i>.<\/p>\n

the doctor’s daughter spin off<\/b>. Yeah, I’d watch Georgia Moffat as Jenny every week. But I don’t know of any plans to bring her back.<\/p>\n

jason todd’s current status<\/b>. He appeared to fall to his death at the end of Batman: Battle for the Cowl<\/i>.<\/p>\n

elbow live bootleg<\/b>. I have several, actually. I have one of their Glastonbury Festival performances. I have the show I saw in DC earlier in the month. I have their concert with the Halle Orchestra in Manchester.<\/p>\n

ronald reagan in the dark knight returns<\/b>. Yes, yes he was.<\/p>\n

who should play mary marvel in a movie<\/b>. Anna Popplewell.<\/p>\n

write like hemingway<\/b>. I’ve done that.<\/p>\n

writing a screenplay on microsoft word<\/b>. Try ScriptSmart<\/a> from the BBC. It’s a group of Word templates that will take some of the drudgery out of the formatting. (I wrote a teleplay using WordPerfect 5.1 many years ago. Talk about not<\/b> fun.)<\/p>\n

cow tipping video<\/b>. Try this<\/a>.<\/p>\n

turn guinness green<\/b>. I do not recommend it<\/a>.<\/p>\n
