Sometime early next year, Peter Gabriel will be releasing a new album, Scratch My Back<\/i>.<\/p>\n
The Guardian<\/a><\/i> describes it thusly: “[The album] is a ‘song swap,’ according to one of Gabriel’s collaborators, where the singer and a host of ‘extremely legendary artists’ will cover each other’s material.”<\/p>\n And one of those artists, supposedly, is Elbow.<\/p>\n Along with Radiohead, Arcade Fire, David Bowie, Talking Heads, and a dozen more artists that you’ve heard of. Neil Young. Lou Reed. Paul Simon.<\/p>\n Yeah. An all-star line-up. Gabriel covers them. They cover him.<\/p>\n The mere thought<\/i> is making me dizzy.<\/p>\n The thought of Gabriel doing “Mirrorball” is… well… I don’t have the words.<\/p>\n Spring 2010. Scratch My Back<\/i>.
