However, from other sources, such as the writings of Adam of Bremen, we know the Vikings&#8217; activities in Vinland continued into the 13th-century and their settlement was substantial enough and permanent enough to warrant a visit from the Bishop of Greenland.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Gnuppson did not return from Vinland, by the way.<\/p>\n<p>The point is, the Vikings didn&#8217;t travel to North America just a handful of times.
