{"id":31650,"date":"2018-12-15T08:54:13","date_gmt":"2018-12-15T13:54:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/?p=31650"},"modified":"2018-12-15T08:54:23","modified_gmt":"2018-12-15T13:54:23","slug":"the-downton-abbey-movie-teaser-trailer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/?p=31650","title":{"rendered":"The Downton Abbey Movie Teaser Trailer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The teaser trailer for next autumn&#8217;s <em>Downton Abbey<\/em> movie dropped yesterday.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s take a look, shall we?<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio aligncenter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"DOWNTON ABBEY | Official Teaser Trailer | In Theaters September 20\" width=\"750\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TYnITeDfaA4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>There is not much there.\u00a0 Lovely shots of Totleigh Towers&#8230; err, I mean, Downton Abbey there.\u00a0 Lots of shadow, lots of light.\u00a0 Shots that could have been stock footage from the original television series.\u00a0 Some crane pans (or drone shots) of Highclere Castle that are new.\u00a0 No sign of any identifiable character that we, the audience, know.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, there are lovely touches.\u00a0 The cast list, given in character rather than by actor, is genuinely sweet.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m excited.\u00a0 <em>Downton Abbey<\/em> is probably my most-anticipated film of 2019.\u00a0 Yes, more than <em>Avengers<\/em>, more than <em>Star Wars<\/em>.\u00a0 No idea what the story will be.\u00a0 No idea what I <em>want<\/em> the story to be.\u00a0 Just leave me with a warm, fuzzy feeling and a nice smile, that&#8217;s all I ask.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The teaser trailer for next autumn&#8217;s Downton Abbey movie dropped yesterday.\u00a0 Let&#8217;s take a look, shall we?
