After three hours on the project, I had a video conference call, and after that another hour of work on the red ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By early afternoon, before I even started on the text I needed to write today, I needed to go outside to stretch the legs and clear the mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, the cloud action over Yoe was strong today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-fullwidth\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200820_152804-1200x900.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32732\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What really stood out was how there was a high layer of wispy clouds above the lower puffy clouds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-fullwidth\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200820_153107-1200x900.jpg\" alt=\"Looking toward the fire watch tower near Windsor\" class=\"wp-image-32730\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After I finished a loop around the neighborhood, I was curious to see what had happened with the newspaper box at at the complex&#8217;s mailboxes for, when I got home from work on Wednesday, I was greeted by this sight:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-fullwidth\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1200\" src=\"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200819_180833-1200x1200.jpg\" alt=\"The York Daily-Record newspaper box and street light, utterly annihilated.\" class=\"wp-image-32734\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The York Daily-Record newspaper box and street light were utterly annihilated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One the neighbors was standing outside laughing.  She gave the story.  In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, she and some other neighbors were awoken by a loud <em>bang<\/em>.  Someone struck the mailbox and lamppost and kept on going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-fullwidth\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200819_180721-1200x675.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32733\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearly eighteen hours after the hit-and-run, the mailbox and light were still like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Would it have been cleaned up today?
