Forty minutes after the Harrisburg Senators lost to the Richmond Flying Squirrels Saturday night, I saw something in the street on City Island.<\/p>\n

It was a hat. A Flying Squirrels hat.<\/p>\n

I picked it up. There wasn’t a soul around. Obviously someone dropped it on their way back to the south parking lot and never noticed.<\/p>\n

It’s a nice hat. I like the color. The logo’s nice. I don’t know that I’d ever seen the Squirrels logo up close like this before. It’s very new, probably bought last week. It smells of perfume.<\/p>\n

Why was I on City Island forty minutes after the game?<\/p>\n

I walked across the Walnut Street bridge to downtown and walked around a little, as far as the Episcopal cathedral, and sat on a park bench along Front Street. It was a lovely night. And, by the time I got back, traffic had cleared off City Island and it was smooth sailing heading home.<\/p>\n

The Senators played the Flying Squirrels in a 6-game series. The Senators took four of the six games. Their two losses? The two games I attended, Opening Day<\/a> and last night. Clearly, I am the reason the Senators lost games… \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n
