A few days ago, I began to see some intriguing ads on Facebook \u2014 baseball jerseys, with Peanuts<\/i> characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made the mistake \u2014 I suppose you can call it that \u2014 of clicking on one of the ads, as my feed is now full<\/i> of these ads. Different sellers, same product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can’t imagine the quality is especially good, given the price \u2014 about thirty dollars \u2014 and can’t possibly be licensed, because there are jerseys with Mickey Mouse, Deadpool, Studio Ghibli (as shown by Totoro above), various bands. And practically every team! The Cubs. The Orioles. The Phillies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not, as far as I can tell, the Nationals. These websites have search functions, and they were good at bringing up teams under their names as well as the characters on the jerseys, but no search would bring me any Washington Nationals products at all. Commanders, yes. Nationals, no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a curious absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
