I went out to my Beetle to retrieve a box from the trunk.<\/p>\n

A fat squirrel was dragging the remnants of a neighbor’s Halloween pumpkin across the parking lot. He froze, unable to decide if he should stay with the pumpkin or bolt, and it was clearly a tough decision; the pumpkin was almost as large as he was.<\/p>\n

My approach, since he was right by my car, decided it for him, and he bolted to the nearby oak tree.<\/p>\n

When I took my trash out to the dumpsters later, the squirrel had returned to his pumpkin, eating it where it lay. There were only scattered pieces left when I retrieved my mail.<\/p>\n

After three and a half years<\/a>, the aluminum company at the end of my street has taken down its “Trump 2024” banner.<\/p>\n

My hope? The owner took it down because it had served its purpose. His Mad God-King Trump has been restored and elevated to his His place of glory.<\/p>\n

My fear? A Trump 2028 banner will be going up in its place.<\/p>\n

It’s a generally nice day outside. A little windy, not too cold.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week the forecast was something like four to six inches of snow this weekend. Enjoy this weather while it lasts.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, I have bronchitis or something. My voice has dropped to the bass riff of “Seven Nation Army.”<\/p>\n
