With the baseball season almost over, I attended my first York Revolution game this year. It had been awhile; the last game I’d attended was Opening Day 2024. They’re my closest minor league team, yet also the one I least like attending, mostly because I hate going into downtown York.<\/p>\n

Still, a former colleague from Diamond had tickets and wanted to know if I was interested in going, so after work I swung by his place and picked him up.<\/p>\n

York’s opponents were the Staten Island Ferry Hawks, and they opened up an early 7-1 lead; York’s starter was giving up the long ball.<\/p>\n

In the fifth, York clawed back 5 runs, making it 7-6. York threatened in the 8th, with runners on second and third with two outs, but couldn’t bring them home. There was also some weird pitch clock shit that I didn’t understand.<\/p>\n

Richmond Flying Squirrels legend Frankie Tostado was playing for York. I will never forget the fan in Harrisburg who said he had the best hair in the Eastern League.<\/p>\n

Larger crowd than I was used to for a Revs game. Pleasant night, though I needed a hoodie once the sun went down.<\/p>\n

York dropped the game, 7-6.<\/p>\n
