It’s supposed to frost tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I know? The joints in my feet hate<\/i> me these last six hours. Oh. Emm. Gee. The pain!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, it’s also been lovely the last few days. Even the light drizzle Tuesday morning didn’t really change anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday I went over to the state park overlooking the Susquehanna between Wrightsville and Columbia. I didn’t stay long — there was a large group having a party\/cookout, and I felt like I was intruding — but it was a lovely day and I took some photos of the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday was warm<\/strong>. I didn’t mind. It was a pretty day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday after the rain I went for a walk. The temperature definitely dropped with the rain, but it remained nice and pleasant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wednesday was a bit blustery. I actually had to put the winter blanket on the bed last night, and then I was too warm. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I write this, the Phillies\/Dodgers game is going into the 10th, and I’m not sure either team wants to win this. I have no rooting interest here. I want a Brewers-Blue Jays World Series, because that’s the one the television executives will hate<\/em><\/strong>. And if the Blue Jays win it all, they have every reason not to go the White House. Maybe Mark Carney can invite them to the Canadian equivalent?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s 48 degrees, and it’s going down into the mid-thirties, so I should close up the windows before I go to bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To my surprise, I pulled off a victory in this game of Backgammon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did not think I would get those two pieces out — I swear xgammon cheats on the rolls — but I did, and sent a white piece back to my home quadrant after white had begun removing its pieces from play. And white ended up in a situation where he had more pieces further away from removal than I did, so I was able to remove pieces with any roll, while white had to move some pieces instead of removing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was luck, not skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
