I intended to return home from Lynchburg today, but in light of the winter storm (and the wild range of snow totals) that was forecast for today I came home yesterday.<\/p>\n

\"Layered<\/p>\n

I hadn’t planned to cross Afton and return the way I came, but the clouds were fascinating and I expected an impressive view from Afton.<\/p>\n

I was not disappointed. It was unearthly, with layered clouds, distant mountains in sunlight, closer mountains in shadow.<\/p>\n

I stopped in Woodstock on my way home for lunch. I stopped here once before on one of the many trips to Lynchburg I’ve taken since October.<\/p>\n

One of the nice things about self ordering kiosks, if you want to call it nice, is that the order gets my name right for once.<\/p>\n

Of course it gets it right. I had to “type” it in.<\/p>\n

The ordering kiosk is so<\/i> slow. I don’t mean that it functions slowly. I mean, it’s inefficient in that every customer has to learn how to use it on their own, on the fly. A cashier, who is trained in how to place an order, would be more efficient.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

I thought the Missing Taco Table<\/a> was a lovely touch. Many tacos have been consumed in humanity’s long war against hunger pangs, and we honor their sacrifices. Never forget.<\/p>\n
