And we&#8217;re worried. There must be some reason why you haven&#8217;t been responding to our emails. We&#8217;re wondering if you still want them &ndash; bursting with the latest from GameStop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exclusive game trailers<\/li>\n<li>GameStop exclusive bonus items<\/li>\n<li>Events at stores near you<\/li>\n<li>Awesome special offers<\/li>\n<li>Price drops<\/li>\n<li>And lots more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At which point, I&#8217;m supposed to press a button in the e-mail, but Opera isn&#8217;t showing it to me.<\/p>\n<p>And if I don&#8217;t press the button, &#8220;we&#8217;ll just go into a corner and cry assuming that you no longer want to hear from us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Which is perfectly fine by me.  GameStop&#8217;s e-mails are fucking annoying.  (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/?p=2430\">Here&#8217;s a blast<\/a> from that particular past.)<\/p>\n<p>And despite having worked for the company, or perhaps <i>because<\/i> I worked for the company, I have absolutely <b>zero<\/b> interest in giving them any of my business in the future.  Working for GameStop is an Orwellian nightmare.  Innovation and free thought are not just discouraged; they are actively <i>punished<\/i>.  The metrics of retail are meaningless, in favor of fictional numbers that are utterly meaningless.  Giving GameStop money only encourages their insanity.<\/p>\n<p>Never mind the fact that they have <b>never<\/b> paid me for my last week with the company.<\/p>\n<p>So, no, GameStop, I don&#8217;t want your e-mails any more.  I don&#8217;t care about your game trailers.  I don&#8217;t want your bonus items (and, let&#8217;s be honest, GameStop isn&#8217;t good at giving out the bonus items for pre-orders).  I don&#8217;t give a damn about your special offers.  The GameStop chapter of my life is <b>over<\/b>.
