{"id":6283,"date":"2012-03-04T09:56:19","date_gmt":"2012-03-04T14:56:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.net\/?p=6283"},"modified":"2013-08-27T21:06:29","modified_gmt":"2013-08-27T21:06:29","slug":"on-receiving-the-ringo-starr-tickets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/?p=6283","title":{"rendered":"On Receiving the Ringo Starr Tickets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday in the mail, the tickets for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/?p=6287\">Ringo Starr concert<\/a> arrived.<\/p>\n<p>On my birthday, Ringo and his All-Starr Band &mdash; including Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie (of Santana fame), Steve Lukather (Toto), Richard Page (Mr. Mister), saxophonist Mark Rivera, and drummer Gregg Bissonette &mdash; will be playing in Baltimore.<\/p>\n<p>And I&#8217;m going to take my mom.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the tickets were <i>pricey<\/i>.  But it&#8217;s my mom, and she&#8217;ll enjoy it.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t expect brilliance from a Ringo concert.  I expect that we&#8217;ll hear a couple of Ringo&#8217;s old standbys, and then his bandmates will come out and take center stage for a spell (I kinda hope Richard Page will do his two Mr. Mister hits, &#8220;Broken Wings&#8221; and &#8220;Kyrie&#8221;), and then it&#8217;s done.
