{"id":655,"date":"2005-12-18T06:29:41","date_gmt":"2005-12-18T11:29:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.net\/?p=655"},"modified":"2005-12-18T06:29:41","modified_gmt":"2005-12-18T11:29:41","slug":"on-farpoint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.allyngibson.com\/?p=655","title":{"rendered":"On Farpoint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve decided to attend an upcoming <i>Star Trek<\/i> convention&#8211;the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bcpl.net\/~wilsonr\/farpoint.html\">Farpoint Convention<\/a> in Baltimore the weekend of February 17th through the 19th, 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Same hotel, almost the same people as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shore-leave.com\/\">Shore Leave<\/a> convention I attend every July, but I&#8217;ve never been to the February convention, I have a week of Christmas comp time to take, and why not spend it in the comfy confines of Baltimore?<\/p>\n<p>And Harve Bennett, the man who saved <i>Star Trek<\/i> in the early 80s, will be attending.
