Unfortunately, it wasn’t especially funny.<\/p>\n
Laurie’s monologue was amusing. The joke he made about being “bottom” in the Royal Shakespeare Company was quite inspired (even if the audience seemed slow on the uptake). The skit based on Most Haunted<\/i> was funny, though it grew progressively tedious. Laurie handled malfunctioning glasses in the skit about the Queen’s needs in a hotel with aplomb. The other skits with Laurie, though, just weren’t that memorable or amusing.<\/p>\n
Laurie can handle skit comedy, he can handle it well, but tonight’s Saturday Night Live<\/i> just wasn’t well-done skit comedy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
