Might the Flying Spaghetti Monster be one of the Elder Gods?<\/p>\n
Consider. Pastafarians bless one another with the saying, “May you be touched by His Noodly Appendage.” Conventionally, we think of the Noodly Appendage as, well, pasta.<\/p>\n
Could it actually<\/i> be a tentacle? Could the pasta merely be an artistic interpretation, like all those paintings of the Baby Jesus with halos and tribbles as it’s unlikely that the Baby Jesus had either? (Assuming the Baby Jesus existed at all<\/i>, but that’s a topic for another time.)<\/p>\n
A noodly appendage, flopping about could<\/i> be artistic license for a tentacle. And Cthulhunoids have, well, tentacles<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Perhaps some passages of the Necronomicon<\/i> have been mistranslated through the centuries, and the role the Flying Spaghetti Monster plays in the pantheon of the Elder Gods has been obscured. Pastafarians might be a secret cult of Cthulhu-worshippers, and they don’t even realize the truth of the origins of their beliefs. But the truth is in the art, for as the Gray Mouser once said, “He who lies artistically treads closer to the truth than he ever knows.”<\/p>\n
