Tonight, at Target

I bought the Beatles 1964 box-set today. I hadn’t gotten around to it for a variety of reasons, saw it when I was at Target this evening, and knew that if I passed it up again I might not have another chance for a while.

Ah, the Beatles.

I tried about a year ago to “assemble” one of the American Beatles releases by copying select tracks off of various Beatles CDs on the XBox and arranging them as appropriate. A noble effort, certainly, but these new stereo mixes have a nice kick to them.

Also purchased, Winnie-the-Pooh wrapping paper. Target had some Spider-Man Christmas paper, but then I spied a Winnie-the-Pooh roll of Classic Pooh, the E.H. Shepard Pooh, not the Disneyfied Pooh, and how could I pass that by? I may unwrap some presents just to use the Pooh paper….

A DVD for an employee, a gag toy for my brother.

While passing the wall hangings aisle something caught my eye. Not for myself, but for a literature abusing friend of mine. I was sorely tempted to buy it, there on the spot, but sound consideration kept the hanging on the peg. Oh, it would be perfect. Oh, but would she “get” it?

Is it possible to fall in love with the Beatles again?
