On an Ironic Bush Statement

Said President Bush while on vacation at his Crawford, Texas ranch:

“And they ought to get the job done of passing legislation, as opposed to figuring out how to be actors on the political theater stage.”

They, being Congress. Political theater, being investigating Alberto Gonzales and providing oversight of the Justice Department.

Hmm, is the President not aware of the irony of chiding Congress for not passing legislation, when he vetoed one important piece of legislation–the Iraq supplemental spending bill–and is threatening other vetoes? Is he not aware of the irony of criticizing Congress for not “get[ting] the job done” when he, himself, is on vacation?

And how many days has the President been on vacation since he took office? Four hundred days? Where does a man who has taken four hundred days of vacation find the moral pedestal from which to criticize people for doing their jobs?

Someone needs to slap the man with a clue-by-four. :/
