Letter from Dr. Grammer to the Trinity vestry, accepting the Rectorship of Trinity, early 1894
Letter reads as follows:
Gentlemen:-
I have received your letter of the 19th Feb, 1894, inviting me to be the Rector of your Church, upon the conditions named therein. I have duly considered the matter, and propose to enter upon the office of Rector on Easter, 1894. In the meanwhile I will serve you gratuitously until then; and trust you may be able to repair refit and renew your Church; and that you may fulfil all of the promises that you have kindly made in your letter. I trust that GOD may, in His goodness, raise up friends, who will help us, by their prayers for, and devotion to, the Church, and that He may abundantly bless the efforts, made there by us all, for the extension of His Kingdom. Commending you to GOD, and invoking His blessing upon our labors,
I am, faithfully your friend in the Church,
Julius E. Grammer, D.D.
