On Questions About Me

This one is Ross‘s fault, a bunch of random questions about me. Some were interesting. Some aren’t. Some I simply couldn’t answer. Let’s take a look, shall we?

  • WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT OUIJA BOARDS? I have no opinion on Ouija boards. I don’t know that I’ve ever used one.
  • YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOWS? I don’t watch much television. These days, Boston Legal and House. And I do, of course, make the time for a regular dosage of Doctor Who in some capacity.
  • WHAT’S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD? Trackballs don’t need mousepads. Ergo, I do not have a mousepad.
  • FAVORITE BOARD GAME: Risk.
  • FAVORITE MAGAZINE: The American Prospect.
  • FAVORITE SMELLS: Fresh brewed coffee.
  • WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD: Loneliness.
  • BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD: The feeling that I’ve accomplished something that will last, the feeling that I’ve made a difference.
  • FAVORITE SOUNDTRACK: This one’s quite difficult. I could cheat and say, The Beatle’s A Hard Day’s Night or Help!. Instead, I’m going to think. If I were stranded on a desert island with only one soundtrack/score to listen to forever, it would be… Danny Elfman’s score for Dick Tracy. It’s rather atypical, it’s not just a Gershwin pastiche, and I hear new things in it all the time. Dick Tracy, very underrated.
  • WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNING: “Ah, fuck it, do I really have to get out of bed?”
  • ROLLER COASTER – SCARY OR EXCITING? Exciting. Give me the damn adrenaline rush.
  • HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOU ANSWER THE PHONE? Depends on how close I am to the phone. Usually at least two.
  • FUTURE DAUGHTER’S NAME: Never given it any thought.
  • FUTURE SON’S NAME: Never given it any thought.
  • FAVORITE FOODS: I don’t really have a favorite food.
  • CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA? Both have their uses. I tend toward the chocolate.
  • DO YOU LIKE TO DRIVE? The open road is an adventure waiting to happen.
  • DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL? Though I own many, no.
  • STORMS – COOL OR SCARY? I’ve driven in a hurricane. I wasn’t scared. The awesome power of nature? Cool.
  • WHAT TYPE WAS YOUR FIRST CAR: 1996 blue Chevy Cavalier.
  • IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON DEAD OR ALIVE – WHO WOULD IT BE? Galileo.
  • FAVORITE ALCOHOLIC DRINK: Guinness Draught.
  • WHAT IS YOUR ZODIAC SIGN? Cancer.
  • WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE POET? Lewis Carroll.
  • DO YOU EAT THE STEMS OF BROCCOLI? Yes.
  • IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD IT BE? As soon as I figure that out I’ll let you know. 😉
  • IF YOU COULD DYE YOUR HAIR ANY COLOR, WHAT WOULD IT BE? I wouldn’t.
  • HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE? Yes.
  • WHAT IS ON YOUR WALLS IN YOUR ROOM? A mirror.
  • IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL? I dunno.
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNAPPLE? Lemon.
  • FAVORITE MOVIE(S): The Empire Strikes Back, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Say Anything, About a Boy.
  • ARE YOU A LEFTY, RIGHTY, OR AMBIDEXTROUS? Generally right-handed.
  • DO YOU TYPE WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE PROPER KEYS? Proper keys. I can’t imagine using a keyboard any other way.
  • WHAT’S UNDER YOUR BED? Dust, most likely.
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NUMBER? I use 43 a lot. If I’m making up a number, that’s what I’ll use.
  • FAVORITE SPORT TO WATCH: Baseball.
  • SAY ONE NICE THING ABOUT THE PERSON WHO SENT THIS TO YOU: Ross really liked “Make-Believe.”
  • PERSON YOU SENT THIS TO WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO RESPOND: I don’t sodding care one way or the other.
  • PERSON YOU SENT THIS TO LEAST LIKELY TO RESPOND: Again, I don’t sodding care one way or the other.
  • FAVORITE QUOTE: “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
