On the Old Mission

As I wrote on March 1st I had a short story to write.

It’s been sent off. It’s either the work of a twisted genius, or I’m a goofball prat. The truth, most likely, lies somewhere in-between…

Twelve thousand words. Which is pared down from the fourteen thousand the story hit.

It’s funny. There are some things that I wrote into the story, for reasons unknown, that when I reached the ending I realized were perfect for tying things together. The mind works like that sometimes. You’re not quite sure why you’re doing what you’re doing, and then when you get there it all makes sense. I won’t complain.

It’s done. At least for the time being. 😀

I think I’m going to sleep in tomorrow…
