On Elijah Wood as Iggy Pop

Elijah Wood will be playing Iggy Pop in a biopic about Iggy’s early career.

Wha? 😯

Don’t get me wrong. Elijah Wood has range. He played a disaffected American college dropout turned soccer hooligan in Green Street Hooligans and was incredibly effective in the role. He played a serial killer in Sin City.

But Iggy Pop?

I’m just not seeing it.

  1. I wouldn’t worry about Elijah Wood as Iggy Pop. I just saw him in Day Zero at Tribeca where he turned in a performance that surprised even an ardent fan like myself.

I am convinced that Elijah can play any role and bring it off with mastery.
