On an End to a Tense Day

I’m glad it’s Friday. I’m suddenly not feeling quite so… tense.

Some of the things I wanted to get done at work today, I got done.

Some of the things I wanted to get done at work today, didn’t happen.

Most of the things that got put on my plate at work today, things I had never done before, got done.

It’s that “never been done before” bit that made me all… tense.

On the plus side, I got to write about Doctor Who novels. Specifically, the trio of novels that came out at Christmas — The Eyeless, Beautiful Chaos, The Story of Martha.

So, not only am I going to have all three within the next two weeks, but I also got to write about how awesome and splendiforous they are.

However, I think that bit of writing went in the “slush article” file. It’s there if it’s needed to plug a hole.

In the end, I was all tense for no reason at all. The software didn’t break. The things got written and posted. Everything worked.

If only I could be a Zen Master all of the time. 😉
