On Finding the Right Music

Some days, I just can’t find the right music to listen to while writing at the office.

I tried My Latest Novel. Nope, not right.

I needed to get the blood flowing. Jay-Z? Nope, that didn’t work either.

Bagpipes! I put in Clandestine. Alas, not.

Apparently, I’m in a George Harrison mode today.

All Things Must Pass, the 30th-anniversary edition.

I come by my George Harrison fandom naturally. “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)” was the #1 song on the charts the day I was born. The following week was Paul McCartney’s “My Love.” It’s funny in a way; I was due at the beginning of September, and instead I arrived at the end of June, probably just to be born under a Beatle-y sign. I couldn’t not have been a Beatles fan.

Maybe Harrison will banish this headache.
