Snoopy: Cowabunga

Snoopy: Cowabunga
AMP! Comics for Kids
Written and Drawn by Charles Schulz

With Fantagraphics’ complete reprinting of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts nearing its end, Andrews McMeel has begun their own reprint series, this one thematic and aimed at the next generation of readers, beginning with the new volume, Snoopy: Cowabunga!

As you can undoubtedly guess from the title, this collection, weighing in at over 200 pages, focuses on literature’s most famous beagle.  The strips range from Snoopy’s daily life to his rich imaginative worlds.  Each page reprints a classic strip, with Sunday strips receiving a double-page spread.  All strips have been colorized.

In the back there are activities and trivia questions.

Basically, Snoopy: Cowabunga! is the kind of comic strip collection this Peanuts fan grew up reading.  Because it’s built around a theme, it’s easier reading than the Complete Peanuts volumes and would make a fine introduction to the world of Snoopy.
