On Touching the Past

Still sneezing and sniffling, I wrote a letter today.

Not an e-mail. A letter.

It’s to a friend of mine, one I’ve not spoken to or seen in several years.

It says nothing profound, just summarizes the last few years in about two hundred words. Here’s where I am. Here’s the important things I’ve done.

The letter uses a font I spent years searching for, only to discover I already had it. I am such a font whore. I wanted the font used by Del Rey in the table of contents of many of their mid- to late-80s science fiction books, an angular small-caps font. It’s called Metro, and now I’m happy.

Enough about the font.

I’ve tried contacting him before to no avail.

We’ll see what happens.
