On The Batman Cereal

Grocery store yesterday, buying lunch meat for dinner.

I need breakfast cereal–I’d finished my box of Peanut Butter Cookie Crisp that morning. I don’t recommend the Peanut Butter Cookie Crisp, but that’s a story for another time.

What do my eyes spy, but a cereal box with Batman on the front. The Batman cereal, Limited Edition, the box proclaims. I pick up the box, examine it closely–choocolate-flavored Batman symbols and marshmallows. Intrigued, I toss the box in the cart.

This morning, The Batman cereal.

And it’s terrible. It’s positively gross. It doesn’t taste like chocolate. It doesn’t taste like anything.

I’m disappointed. Batman has let me down.

  1. No, “THE Batman” has let you down. That inferior creation that is trying to usurp the superior Bruce Timm version. Of course the cereal is just like the cartoon, all flash and no substance. WB idiots.

  2. I came across this doing a google search for The Batman Cereal. I wanted to see if, somehow, I just happened to purchase a really bad box. But no, it appears they really did release a cereal this awesomely rancid. It is by far one of the worst things I have ever had the displeasure of ingesting.
