On Christmas Wishes

People keep asking me, What do I want for Christmas?

Well, the things I want–world peace, an end to hunger, President’s Bush impeachment, Vice President Cheney’s indictment for war crimes–no one can give me. These are unrealistic wishes.

But for the sake of those having difficulty finding things that I might want, I humbly offer these suggestions.

Books:

  • The Beatles, by Bob Spitz
  • The Planets, by Dava Sobel
  • It’s Superman, by Tim de Haven

CDs:

  • Choose Love–Ringo Starr

DVDs:
If someone really wants to get me DVDs, how about a season box set of Frasier? The only one I own is the first season.

Though perhaps Sally Brown had the right idea–Santa, just bring cash. 😉

  1. If you actually get de Haven’s book, then please let me know what you think of it. I just can’t bring myself to buy it.

  2. It looks like it could be really cool–Superman in 1930s New York. When I first read a blurb on the book in Entertainment Weekly I didn’t think that DC Comics would have authorized a Superman novel so far outside the continuity of the comic book version. Suffice to say, I’m very curious.
