On an Almost Year-In-Review

Yes, I stole this from Jon Polk, who stole it from a bunch of other people. 😉

Here’s what you do: Go to your Calendar View and copy/paste the first sentence of your first (or only) entry for the first day of each month for the year 2005. A year in review? Perhaps.

I saw this on David Henderson’s LiveJournal, questions aimed at summarizing 2004. Yesterday going through e-mail I came across a call for submissions to a Sherlock Holmes collection of scholarly ponderings, satire, and pasticherie. I couldn’t deny it. Oh, am I tired. I went to see Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy tonight. “Excellent” is a part of my usual vocabulary. The Raleigh newspaper has a weekly column on Fridays entitled “Beer Here,” a look at the beer scene written by Julie Johnson Bradford, editor of All About Beer magazine. Last night I wanted to watch a movie. According to the morning’s newspaper the gas station in the shopping center where I work shuttered its doors yesterday–their pumps had run dry. I don’t know which makes me feel better for the future. Mad scientist mode. My voting precinct uses paper ballots.

There’s a rhythm to that. An odd rhythm, but a rhythm nonetheless. 🙂
