On Future Lord of the Rings Games

EA Games has extended their license to create video and computer games based on The Lord of the Rings through 2008. A new game is in development for release in 2008, though no details have been released. The fate of Lord of the Rings: The White Council, a role-playing game set a few decades before The Lord of the Rings, seems up in the air, however.

Whatever EA ultimately releases I will play. Hopefully, it won’t be as dull as The Third Age, the turn-based RPG EA released a few years ago. 😉

  1. We own The Third Age, and surprisingly, Trevor really likes it. I agree that it’s got some serious flaws in concept, but the gameplay reminds me so much of playing D&D in junior high school.
