On Episode VII?

I’m sure you’ve heard by now. George Lucas is now contemplating making Episodes 7-9, after saying for the past five or six years that no, Star Wars was only a six-episode story, despite the previous decade where he said, no, it’s a nine-episode story (and that brief stretch when it was twelve).

Please. Shoot me now. Isn’t it clear by now that Lucas should stay away from Star Wars? As I left Return of the King a few weeks ago, I said to one of my staff, “Well, Lucas should say to his staff, ‘Guys, just go home. Episode III can’t top this. I should kill myself now.'”

Maybe I’m just bitter.

In other news, “Dalek’s Masterplan,” episode 2 has been recovered. To scrub my brain of the disaster that was “Zagreus,” I gave “DMP” a listen a few weeks ago; there’s an epic story that knows that epic means more than just “really fucking long.”

The sad thing about “Zagreus” is that I haven’t been able to bring myself to listen to “Scherzo,” the follow-up story. I’m sure it’s fine, a complete 180 degree turn from the bloated corpse of “Zagreus,” but I just can’t bring myself to it.
