I have friends who went to Virginia Tech. My family has friends who went to Virginia Tech. I have friends whose friends went to Virginia Tech or may still be students there.
When I saw the news about the rampage at Virginia Tech today, I felt it personally.
To anyone who attends Virginia Tech, I hope you’re safe. I hope your friends and loved ones are safe.
To anyone whose friends attend Virginia Tech, I hope your friends are safe and sound.
To anyone who lost a friend or a loved one today, you have my deepest and sincerest sympathies. There is nothing I can say to bring your loved one back. There is nothing I can say to make sense of this insanity. I am truly sorry for your loss, and you have all the condolences I can offer.
You all, every one of you, have my best wishes.
