On “Dylan Hears a Who”

Alas!

The wonderful website for Dylan Hears a Who — the concept album of Bob Dylan (or a reasonable fascimile thereof) interpreting Dr. Seuss favorites — is no more. The Ted Geisel estate, it turns out, wasn’t amused.

I have mine. I have the mp3s. I have the cover art, front and back. I’ll listen to it, again and again.

To be honest, I wasn’t much of a Dr. Seuss person growing up. No, I much preferred Richard Scarry. Lowly Worm and Busytown, those were my speed. Dr. Seuss? Not so much.

The album, though? It’s a blast.

I’m sure it’s still lurking out there, on the innerwebs as a torrent or something similar. It’s worth tracking down. If you like strange, silly little things. Like Bob Dylan singing… I do not like them, Sam I am. I do not like them, green eggs and ham.

  1. Um, you wouldn’t be able to post the hi-res version of the CD Insert booklet, would you… i’m only finding resized copies or cropped images of just the front cover on google. <:)
