Saturday

I discovered today through studying recent web usage on the website that I have a LiveJournal syndication feed. Color me surprised…

Tomorrow morning, six o’clock, I fly out to Orlando for four days of corporate meetings. In all my travels I’ve not been to Florida, so I’m looking forward to the trip. Now I just need to pack. Which shirts? Which ties? I’ve looked at the meeting schedule–will I need shorts or something casual? Oh, decisions! I should get my watch battery replaced. It might be a good idea to have a watch.

Reading material for the flight I’ve settled on. Keith DeCandido‘s Dragon Precinct, which has been sitting on my desk unloved for about a month. I might also take a manga for variety. One of my employees suggested Negima! to me a few weeks ago when I mentioned that Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, which I’ve been reading in fits and starts for about two weeks, was described by its publisher as “Harry Potter for adults,” and my employee claimed that Negima! really was “Harry Potter for adults.” I read a little of Negima!, saw what she meant, and for a variety of reasons haven’t finished the first volume.

Oh, joy. My head is bleeding.

  1. That would be my fault. 🙂 Rather than learn how to use a real RSS reader, I set up (or use existing) feeds through LiveJournal.

Of course, it helped once I fed it the right feed….

  2. No worries, Andrew. You may notice now I’ve added you to my links list. 🙂

For what it’s worth, it always surprises me when I discover that others have read things I’ve written. At times I feel like a deaf-mute town crier.

  3. That feed wasn’t there the last time I checked! I wanted to set one up but only paying LJ members can do that.

And yes, Allyn, I read things that you’ve written. 🙂

  4. Coolness to Andrew for making this; now I can put Allyn on my Friends thingy and not have to remember to read his blog all the time.
